Literature Text

The Boy in the Temple.

There he sits up in the night.
Wailing and crying for his mother.
He knows not where she has gone,
Nor what has happened to her.
He wails for his sister and his aunt.
They in silence and despair shiver as he cries.
The night enshrouding his wails.

He is guarded fiercely and whipped and bruised.
He is given the drink and grows fond of it.
The taste of the cognac and wine burning his mind.
Forced to sing revolutionary songs and crying inside...
Losing all hope and desperate to be reunited with love.
With kindness.
With happiness.

Locked away with no light.
Vermin and insects crawling all over...
Swelling and pain, cringing and loneliness.
He lays there and is quiet.
He is left alone.
Alone to reflect.
Alone to despair.

Reunited for brief moments with his sister and playmate.
The embraces feel so familiar and a smile...
Feeling affection again and warmth.
Pain eroding the mind...
Death is swift, painless.
Death is sweet and pure.
Death gives back loved ones.

Forevermore.
A poem I decided to write dedicated to the memory of the little Louis XVII (Charles-Louis, Duc de Normandie) whom died in the Temple Prison on the 9th of June in 1795. A child that was torn and wrenched from the supportive and caring love that was his familiarity and loving family only to die whithered and alone in a damp and unforgiving cell...

If you want to check it out on my Facebook group page-I do have Marie-Antoinett's children (Louis Joseph, Louis XVII and Princess Sophie Helene) in my group page Angels Too Soon and Beautifulangels.
The album in angels too soon is listed of different causes.  And I even did Louis XVI's siblings and Marie Antoinette's siblings that perished in childhood as well. I have some children who are descendants of Queen Victoria, some who were born from famous presidents in history and some who came from famous authors in history.
